CLUTCHES
The clutches are of electromagnetic type for engaging and disengaging loads. The clutches vary in size and can be utilized in smaller applications such as printers and garden machinery, in larger applications produced in a multi-disc design with high torque transmission for more demanding applications like compressors. We also offer slip clutches for torque limiting applications as well as brake and clutch units and toothed clutches. The clutches are reliable and provide accurate movement contributing to safe and consistent performances.
BRAKES
Our brakes are reliable and robust, suitable for a wide range of motion control and industrial applications. Typical applications include servo motors, equipment for factory automation and industrial trucks, thus applications that require secure braking and holding of a rotating shaft. These brakes provide control over machines, thanks to their ability to stop in time, offering a level of safety that cannot be dismissed.

ELECTROMAGNETIC GENERAL PURPOSE CLUTCHES
Ogura’s electromagnetic general purpose clutches support both gas and diesel engines, delivering reliable performance for demanding outdoor applications. They are commonly used in construction and agriculture, in equipment such as spreaders, straw blowers, flooring equipment and pump jacks. The clutches offer various features designed for high and safe performance. For instance, they are available in 12V and 24V and can handle high temperatures because of epoxy coating and long-life grease, making them durable and safe to use. The clutches have the ability to prevent components from separating due to a robust solid forged rotor that delivers stable performance.
ELECTROMAGNETIC MOBILE CLUTCHES
Oguras electromagnetic mobile clutches are engineered for durability and low maintenance. There are different clutches offered to suit different applications such as hydraulic and water pumps, that can be found in marine winch drives or tow trucks. Other applications include air condition compressor (e.g car air conditioning), high pressure position pumps, centrifugal pumps and vacuum pumps (e.g waste removal trucks). The mobile clutches can be customized to fit your specific pump shaft, whether it is straight, splined or tapered bores.
ELECTROMAGNETIC PTO CLUTCH BRAKES
Oguras PTO Clutches deliver great control and durability. They are very durable due to the possibility to adjust the clutch when the application is still operating by using a standard box wrench. They also meet high safety standards supported by an e-coating and can manage a wide range of temperatures. These clutches are designed for outdoor power equipment such as riding mowers, walk-behind mowers, sawmills and log cutters.
ELECTROMAGNETIC POWER OFF BRAKES
Ogura offers a large selection of power off brakes in different sizes. Typical applications include servo motors, robotics and the medical industry.
The Power off brakes offered:
MB Brakes – Small holding and e-stopping brake that can be designed as a square or circle.
MCBN-T and RNB-T Brakes – Thin holding and e-stopping brake, making it possible to save space within the motor brake.
SNB Brakes – Holding and stopping brake that operates seamless trough many cycles thanks to large frictions discs that can be manually disengaged.
RNB Brakes – Holding and e-stopping brakes designed for high voltage operations (up to 90V)
MNB Brakes – Holding and stopping brakes that have customized torques, ensuring precision.
PMB Brakes – Holding and stopping brakes that have a magnetically produced torque that provides seamless stops.
MAGNETIC PARTICLE AND HYSTERESIS CLUTCHES/BRAKES
Ogura offers different types of powered hysteresis and permanent magnet clutches and brakes. The hysteresis series is used for motor test stands while the power magnetic series is applicable to smaller applications like network printers.
The clutches/brakes offered:
OPL Clutch/Brake – Engineered for overload protection making it ideal for mechanical devices.
OPC Clutch & OPB Brake – Ideal for industrial applications where shortened response time is needed.
HC Clutch & HB Brake – Designed for applications such as wire tension control (clutches) and motor testing machines (brakes), that require no frictional torque between the magnets.
PHT Clutch/Brake – Can be arranged as a break or a clutch with an adjustable torque that is consistent over a given speed range.
